Moorpark have designed and constructed a wide range of bespoke gardens, and a selection of these is illustrated below. In addition Moorpark has constructed award winning show gardens and these can be viewed by clicking on the link at the end of the portfolio.

Creating a welcoming entrance to a large rural property

This area is paved with natural stone, edged with whin cobbles and features tree planting into pebbled areas. The relaxed natural planting including many perennials, along with climbing roses over a timber pergola, create the perfect welcoming entrance.

Design and build of a whole garden in need of renovation

Circular lawns and patios giving many areas to entertain and relax, they are placed to catch the sun through the day and evening. These are complimented with herbaceous borders and architectural shrub planting.

Making use of your space

This entrance used to be a plain grey slab path with untidy shrub planting. Careful design and construction using wood, natural stone and minimal planting it make a pleasant spot to sit in the afternoon sun.

Once a wilderness

Now planted in specific areas of woodland, architectural planting and herbaceous border. This garden has a new path running around the whole of the garden. A large conifer has been removed to make space for the stone arc where smaller paths lead through more secluded areas.

Split level garden

Now on two levels this garden is low maintenance and striking, as well as being private with the patio door and back door opening onto the deck.

Sunken courtyard

This courtyard built in natural stone and timber fits perfectly into its surroundings, being sympathetic to both the property and neighbouring buildings.

Landscaping and planting of a natural rural garden.

Landscaping and planting of a natural rural garden containing a water feature by Splash Gordon water gardens (one of our regular specialist contractors). This Dunblane garden is very exposed, so a careful choice of plant species was essential to ensure success. The garden also has a wild flower meadow.

Terracing

This garden in Uddingston had drainage problems, was dangerous to mow and was almost impossible to utlise. Terracing the garden provides numerous flat areas for entertaining, incorporating lawns and using shade-tolerant species, as the garden is surrounded by trees. Behind all the walls are a series of drains which run any water out to a burn in the adjacent woodland.

Landscaping a modern town garden

This modern Hyndland town-house needed a garden with clean lines and a symmetrical view from the sunroom. The design uses natural stone and brick which match the house, with simple architectural planting.

Landscaping a blank canvas of a newly-built house

The sunroom of this house looks out onto this corner of the garden. The previous slope was difficult to mow and bland to look at. The slope now has a meandering path and steps with alpine planting to either side. The border on the flat is a mixture of evergreen shrubs and summer flowering herbaceous plants for year-round interest.

From large brown field to large spectacular garden

This garden in Gartocharn is approx. 1.5 acres. The whole garden was designed, project-managed and planted by Moorpark HC. Planting surrounding an artificial burn with water circulating between a formal and informal pond. All the trees seen in these pictures are planted as specimens between 3.5-5.0m in height.
